Her inspirational message of never allowing obstacles to cause them to give up and to pursue their dreams at any cost is a lifelong lesson as to which she is living proof. Her many accomplishments entail becoming an Arizona Grand Canyon Reader Award Nominee. On top of the obstacles, that she had to overcome, she was friendless with the thoughts of loneliness always lingering. Crystal Allen is an amazing author and speaker as well as a someone who blossomed into the confident writer and speaker that she is today, planting seeds of confidence within children, because Crystal, at their age, was a reluctant reader and writer. She discovered her newfound joy of reading and writing and contributes her being an established author as a result of it. 

She is also a part of the African American Literature Book Club.

Summary

Mya and Naomi made a pinky promise not to tell anyone about their secret. Mya and Naomi made the spirt week partners. they won the fall festival VIP tickets and Mya broken a promise of Naomi secret .their  partner picking was horribly wrong and Mya  got paired with the biggest bully in school. People are calling Mya means names because Naomi is mad at her and Mya can’t help it anymore. Mya and the biggest bully have to work together on the spirt week activities in school. Mya is was Naomi best friends when Mya was making her hair braids look crazy. Mya and Naomi were always working together on their class work and helping each other on their assignment. Mya had friendship problems with Naomi. They had spirt week schedule to dress on a everyday until Monday through Friday and Skye told Naomi that Mya was not a bully to her and her sister. Naomi is jealous of Mya because everybody like her as friend and nobody really talk to Naomi as much because of her action she act to other people around her school. Mya have rough morning at school and sometimes Mya talk to her dad about want is going wrong at school. Naomi is not talking to Mya because she broken a promise. Mya tried to become back Naomi friend again

Helping your friend out of a situation and protesting your friend’s bad choice.

5 STARS! I enjoyed the book because it talked about your friends and when they are not really your friend. Don’t always trust your friends. They always get mad at you then talks about you behind your back to make them feel better about their self.
